LaFleur has a rare combination of skills. He can block like an offensive lineman , yet still has great pass receiving skills. His size helps him as blocker and also provides a huge target for his quarterback. He is surprisingly agile and quick for a player with his size and strength. Despite not having a quality quarterback to work with during his years at LSU, he has developed into an excellent prospect. Still some scouts are concerned with how he will handle the transition from college to NFL. LSU did not run a complicated passing offense and LaFleur may need some time to adjust to the sophisticated passing offenses in the NFL. However, there is no concern about LaFleur’s talents and he should quickly develop into a star NFL tight end.
