Carruth is a burner and has incredible quickness in the open field and off of the line. Few NFL defensive backs will be able to keep up with him. He has been clocked at 4.17 in the 40. He can accelerate faster then any college receiver in recent history. Carruth had an inconsistent career at Colorado, but just finished a great senior season, which included becoming a Biletnikoff Award finalist. As a result, his stock has been rising with scouts. He has learned how to run crisp routes and has good hands. This deep threat has a Pro Bowl future. Carruth should be an early first round selection.
